Hi All,
I have applied the sym_unix_protection policy in monitoring mode to an AIX 7.1 server. The policy applies fine and events are generated in the montitors tab.
First issue - When i go to add a rule to the policy using the UMC wizard it gives me either [Local] int_stdpriv_ps OR [Global] global_sandbox. If i choose the local sandbox i get the message "Change is not applicable to this policy". Where as if i select global_sandbox the rule is added to policy. Do i have to add the rules manually to the int_stdpriv_ps and not use the UMC wizard?
Second issue - After adding rules to the policy manually or to the global_sandbox via the UMC wizard then and I reapply it to the server, the server just sits in the "Update Pending" state and never recieves the updated policy so the rules that i have added don't take affect
I'm new to the UNIX side of DCS so if anyone has any ideas on what im doing wrong that would be a big help.
